Sarmad Sehbai is a playwright and director whose work has appeared on television and in theatres throughout Pakistan. Sarmad first made his career breakthrough in 1968 by getting a job with PTV as a scripts producer. Sehbai was born in Sialkot. His father was Asar Sehbai, a public prosecutor who was transferred to Lahore when Sehbai was very young.
