Kantakabi Laxmikanta Mohapatra was a great Odia poet, writer, and freedom fighter. He was born on 18 December , in Cuttack city. His father was zamindar Choudhary Bhagabat Prasad Samantaray Mohapatra and his mother's name was Radhamani Devi. Like his father, Kantakabi Lakshmikanta, Nityananda Mahapatra wrote with patriotism at the forefront as he appeared in the literary horizons when literature. chapter Dr. Mishra describes how Laxmikanta became “Kantakabi”.
